Provisional Patents cost a few thousand dollars to prepared and is good for a year from the date of filing. Before the end of that first year you should turn it into a Utility Patent if you are looking to have Utility Patent protection on your invention. Many people think they should simply file provisional year after year until it is sold. This is a bad decision.

  • some one has to organize this system so all inventors can make some money and no one is able to steal ideas from any body , wait a minute ,thats a great idea hahaha.
