"seventh title appearance in eight seasons" Perhaps the Brownies used up all their Championship passes?

Briggs - aka Tiger Stadium was razed a couple of years ago but the playing field remains intact!

The Cleveland co-captain Mike McCormack went on to a short stint as head coach of the Eagles from 1973-75, then the Colts in 1980-81 and the Seahawks in 1982. In between he was an assistant coach for various teams beginning with the Redskins in 1965. He later served as GM for the Carolina Panthers in their first years, before finally retiring from football in the late 90s. His career spanned 46 years in every capacity possible.

@Chubzdoomer Oh futz off and stop being a turd. The NFL is alive and well.

The Lions completed one of the great comebacks to get to the championship. They were losing 24-7 to the 49ers at halftime in the playoff game for the western conference crown. It was 27-7 early in the 3rd qtr. Then the Lions scored 24 unanswered points to take the conference title 31-27. Another crushing loss for Y A Tittle, the Jim Kelly of his era.

@OfficialCNFL Next? LMAO. This year.

@italstallion06 And their fancy halftime shows. And their million sponsors. And their endless commercials on television. The NFL today is nothing more than a money racket full of pampered players thanks to an overly safe commission. The NFL in the 50's was far more raw and just plain tougher.

i actually prefer these old hard nosed NFL championship games compared to the glitzly super bowls played in domes or in warm weather
