The seagull Larus dominicanus lives at the open sea and the coast. It´s a very popular and common bird to see for those who lives at the ocean like the seaman. My intention on this pictures and the movie is show to you how beautiful they are... even this bird is very common... and how they can bring emotion to us. They are braves, fighting all day to keep your lives, fighting the elements (even the hard days), fishing and procreate... and they are so fragile and have an elegant fly. My intemption on the black and white pictures is not only searching the beautiful monochromes of the great scale of the gray tones of they feathers but show too the ambiguity of the human bean insanity polluting our world. Keep the colors! Stop pollution! Keep the emotion of the flight of the seagull!

All pictures was taken in two days of November 2009 on the coast of the South West Atlantic Ocean. All pictures and video editing was made by me, Rodrigo Beheregaray. I use here the DSLR Nikon D90 and only one 30 years old lens, but very good, Nikkor 105mm f/ 2.5 AI. The use on moving objects is not easy ´cause this lens works on D90 in no metering and in no AF conditions and plus, in this case, I don´t use an tripod.

The sounds of the movie, in this sequence, "Shifting Sands" by Sounds of Nature; "The Wind", "Szepty i Izy" and "Adagio - Epilog" by Anna Maria Jopek the great polish musician. The others sounds (intros) was taken by Picture Project Samples and mixed in the "acts" introductions.
