Community Radio SARANG 107.8FM (St Aloysius College Mangalore) - week-long workshop for local women to conduct a survey for the community radio and produce health based radio programs.

The first three days were spent in baseline survey - local women (25 of them from every community took part) mingled with Mass Communication & Media Studies (MCMS) students of the College.

After they conducted the survey - 1,300 respondents in particular- the MCMS students helped verify the data, classify it and tabulate.
Then the three days were spent in fun and frolic of planning and producing programs. Dr Prasanna Mithra from KMC was gracious enough to spend over 2 hours with these ladies - to be interviewed and help in health content production.

The response of the ladies was terrific - from gratitude for getting a chance to climb the portals of the College to mingle with Post Graduate students of Mass Communication (students as old as their children!) to plan and produce radio programs to "hear" their own voices on radio!
