What a guitar player... this song was released on his LP "Pink Moon" but here is a stunning home recorded version. There are many great bootlegs of Nick Drake material that feature some of his finest work, I recommend checking them out if you're a fan.

  • One of greatest artists you've never heard about...

  • hey, this is a good version!!

  • There's something about this home recording version that says this is the way it was really supposed to be. Maybe it's just me but this version warms my heart in ways I can't describe. I'm at a lost for words...all I can say is I can't stop listening to this version.

  • His guitar picking sounds like something out nature, like the rain or the river that influenced him so much.

  • you were really something nick

  • The tab's available on ultimate-guitar, just in case anyone cares..

  • oh my god. this is unbelievable . love hazey jane home recording too but listen to that guitar! it makes me so sad that nick had to go so soon. i mean, what a talent! love you nick

  • @thejimshow4000 watch?v=03TvjH042xc If you want to, you can watch this; you'll certainly figure it out. :)

  • @thejimshow4000 It's not that difficult. It's the same pattern of the strumming version (but with capo on 6th). The point is always to hit the 6th and the 5th strings with the thumb (not simultaneously) and the others with the other fingers. You can hear exactly when the 1st string is hit. If you do that while listening to the music you soon figure it out. :)

  • @thejimshow4000 Ok thank you. I found it. I liked the sped up version of Hazey Jane I in the "A Skin Too Few" documentary, but it seems to be slower on the bootleg. :(

  • Always wondered how this version never made it to the album ... I like the album version (strumming) also, but this finger picking version is stunning. Thanks for sharing!
