By Professor Darrick Hamilton - The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) recently formed its own commission and invited top African American economists from around the country to come together to focus on the economic concerns African people and communities of color. (They CBC held a panel discussion called Federal Spending And The National Debt.
In which the Commission examine deficit spending and reduction, and their implications for vulnerable populations and the nation at large. They also address the national debt, and how fiscal policy affects African people and other minority communities.
Professor Darrick Hamilton spoke to issue of Racial Inequality and the need of generating wealth in African American and why historically there is a large gap between wealth in the African American communities, people of color and that in of the white communities.
