  • This is very sad, shocking news. I had just got finished watching 2 of their films on my Sleazy Slashers 4-disc set Dweller and Night Thirst. I enjoyed their films.

  • Ya its really was sad news. I loved that set and those 2 movies were great.

  • Great video, thanks for making. RIP John.

  • No problem.

  • man this guys got one of the best hair, moustache and glasses combo

  • I'm still in shock from my good friend and colleague, John's passing. He inspired more than most know and touched the lives of even more with his wit, humor and benevolence. Rest in peace, my brother.

  • I may be paraphrasing here but him and his brother, from the Splatter Farm special features, said that they didn't make movies for wide release or critical acclaim, they just made movies because they wanted to. I thought that was a great way of looking at it. Really great quote for a fellow amateur film maker like me.

  • Amazing!

  • He will be missed for sure!! RIP much love

  • still in my heart the nicest gent.

  • I have to say, I just kinda 'found out' about all this a few months after it happened, my internet was gone for months.... hit me like a bitchslap to the face. Very, very sad.

  • @coolduder

Yes, that's my bro Tim Ritter's movie.

  • Genuinely my hero. I live in Edinburgh, Scotland. One night my friends and I sat down to watch Feeders and Feeders 2 back to back - I know how to live - and I don't think I'd ever laughed so much... On top of that, the very next day I went out, bought a camera and decided to start making movies.

Thank you, John. He's making crappy, low-budget movies with God now!

  • Splatter Farm is amazing. I've watched it countless times in just the past year. Hilarious and entertaining. Rest In Peace John. I truly hope that Mark continues to make movies. I was very sad to hear about John's passing. Very inspiring guys who do what they love, no matter what anyone thinks.

  • He was a great, intelligent, artistic, funny man. That's who he was. And kind.

  • I only recently found out he died last year. It is truly depressing. While Hollywood destroys the imaginations of young people every where, these guys trodded on and always encouraged independance. Whether you enjoy the films or not, everyone should pay thier respects to a true artists, we will all miss you John RIP. See you at that great Splatter Farm in the sky.
