Hi Budkeywest,
Any chance you could let me know the CG on Gregg's P40?
I decided to rebuild mine and am reaching the point of balancing it.
My plans must be in P40 plan heaven.
Sure would appreciate the info.
Cheers!

It was a kit. I have the same kit. Called for a .60 2 stroke. Which is what I used. (OS .60). Someone built yours(the one in the video). I even have the same War Weary decals on mine. However, I broke mine in two about 10 years ago. Still haven't thrown it away...keep thinking about repairing it. Top Flite sells the same kit today(or at least a year ago) however they call it "The Gold Edition".
Not sure of the difference.
PS. Nice video!

Great video, minus the one guy talking in the background. So annoying with everything he was saying.
Great flying!

very nice, look like it flies real nice and has plenty of power, nice conversion, very impressed. I just bough a 20 year old tiger moth with an old 4 stroke OS erm 46 or 48, i'm not gonna convert it to electrical but looking forward to trying my 1st four stroke and first biplne (i fly mainly electric and an old ganster 40 nitro (2 stroke).

I got a who knows how old p40, but it's a top flight plane and It didn't have the manual or anything. Anyways, can anyone give me a link on how to operate it?

right after it takes off the prop looks like it stopped for a second or 2 , that is so cool tho ,nice job

My father was either given this P-40 or he purchased it. He liked it so much he never flew it...it just hung in his computer/hobby room for about 15/20 years. I took it down last fall and started an electric conversion. Inside the airplane was and old Top Flite decal on the center of the wing. I took out an old Kraft radio (1985?) and servos...also removed an HP.61 motor and tank. Turnigy 500-55B 600kv motor, 70 amp ESC, 5 amp UBEC, and 4000mah 5S bat, 3 Hitec 485HB servos, 7 lb 7 oz.

Did you build it from a kit ?

@aSPITFIRE911 Not sure if it was a kit or not...Gregg's dad had this hanging in his house for about 15 years. Gregg decided to make it electric...he did a great job!
