Thanks for the comment! Yes, I've research the Barbados/American Carolinas connection quite a bit and in fact wrote a travel/history article that ran in our Charleston paper a couple years ago.

Early South Carolinians were primarily from Barbados. Called 'the Goose Creek men,' they dominated the Palmetto State in that early colonial period.
