  • We do have to provide a 10 yr wk history and driving record etc. The applicants past doesn"t necessarily determine their future. But I respectfully disagree with the one felony and they won't hire part, I have personally worked with numerous felons. I just wish some companies would be more strict about felonies. Remember one bad apples makes the whole basket look bad. I think most companies have good hiring practices. But how do you know if their really confirming ALL apps?

  • I don't think hiring is that loose at all. Drivers have to provide their 10 year work histroy and driving record for the last 5 years. Then companies have to comfirm the app's. One prior DWI or felony, and they won't hire.

    The applicant's past isn't always his future. Imagine what would happen if the American voter applied the same hiring standards for the politicians there vote for. How many congressmen would pass the drug screening process?

  • I feel they should ATLEAST be convicted of vehicular homicide or manslaughter.  I am so tired of the loose hiring practices of carriers that allows every driver to be stereotyped as a maniac.
