If you knew your Nissans.. Renault is Nissan ... It goes beyond Nissan, Infiniti... Let me repeat myself.. The top two country that sells the MOST cars on planet earth is China #1 followed by the United States #2.

But China and the United States sell the most cars. These are the only two countries to look at lol... Keep in mind, Lexus is just Toyota's side thing.. Toyota is the world most selling car brand.. Renault (Aka Nissan, Infiniti) is second.. Followed by Volkswagon. .Ford etc..

@H1mynameisLarry Lexus may be highly regarded in the States, but there is the REST of the world to consider. Just like American Football is soooo popular in the US when the rest of the world doesn't give a crap about it(its what you folks call soccer that is the most popular sport in the world) same with Lexus.

@H1mynameisLarry Audi is under VW group. VW group: Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, Seat, Ducatti Bikes etc. May I remind you that The Bugatti is just an engineering exercise by VW losing about half a million per unit sold, however the technology gained through it has been trickling all over VW groups' brands.

Of course you will get more light then a regular 55w halogen, but not having dedicated reflectors with proper cutoff or projectors will make a 55w halogen seem brighter. Why won't you do people on the road a favor and properly house your HID's. IT will benefit you and others. HID retrofits are not that hard and expensive.

But 55w HIDs output something over 4,000 lumens whereas 55w Halogen is at around 1500-2000lumens. I know some light is scattered but the net result is more light on the road in the mid range and in the long range. It works well for me, way better than the Philips Nightguides high end Halogens I used to use that burn out every year.
