@djaevlenselv I agree with everything you just said accept two things: Chink as a racist term is not limited to just the Chinese as it includes all Asian races except for Indian. Also Jap is not a racist term for the Japanese in the same way the Scott is not a racist term from the Scottish.

A chink can refer to a physical flaw in the structure of something, which is why showing vulnerability can be called 'A chink in one's armor,' i.e. your metaphorical armor against the world has a hole in it.
Chink is also a racist way of saying Chinese, in the same way that Jap is a racist way of saying Japanese, so Franklin obviously thought that J.D. was calling him a Chink, never mind that Masi Oka is Japanese and not Chinese.
That's pretty much it.

@UltraAnimaniac101 chink is a racial slur towards asians. it also happened to be the answer to the janitors crossword puzzle (another meaning of the word). jd says it loudly and franklin misenterpts.
