So I suppose all the anti-Israel/anti-Jew propaganda that the mullahs put out ISN'T barbaric and offensive??
The iranians are just crying crocodile tears, now that the shoe is falling on the other foot. I'm glad 300 pisses them off.

It is outrageous how a country with less than 300 years of history has the balls to use psychological warfare to basically hypnotize their people to build hatred against an enemy. An enemy that has thousands of years of history and contributions to the world, without these contributions, where would America be. Iran is a great country and 300 just tricks our uneducated people to make harsh judgements that are absolutely impractical. If I had a child, I would never let them see such movie.

@davexombos No, not Iranians in particular. that's probably one of the worst parts: he uses 1 single ethnic group to represent an enourmous group of muslims (which are not always Persians or arabs) and along with it he portrays Persians as a very evil faction in history. Anyone who does not know anything about history (and they are plentiful) will now have this twisted idea of "the greeks were good and the Persians were bad". While in fact, it was just war.

@Shahin2102 I guess I would agree with you on that part. To the west, "Islam" is an easy target (no pun intended) right now because of current events. I think if anything the Persians were supposed to represent terrorists I guess, not Iranians.

And don't get me wrong, by "politically motivated" I don't mean that Bush himself gave the order to make such a story. By that I mean that Frank Miller turned his own retarded and ignorant opinion about present day politics into a work that in many countries would be called racist if the depicted race was anything but the ancestors of present day muslims. Seriously, suppose this movie was about jews. I bet my own head on it that Europe would be screaming for justice and sue Miller's ass off.
Hellenism never disrespacted persian one. Dont include us in the movie its our fault that yet another country is using our history for their interests. Even alexander the great got font of the persian culture and didnt Hellenise the whole region. Persians have a really advanced ancient background and propagandas like this shouldnt be made. It doesnt matter if its from a comic book the kid that will see this will get brainwashed by this.
Greetings from Cyprus part of the Hellenic world

In 300; Persia represented evil and slavery.
In history and reality; Persia was first to have human rights for all people. Women had many rights and people had rights to believe in which ever god they wanted while in Greece, Socrates gets death penalty for teaching youths to think better.
