Update: The guy who this was based on actually came back the next day to fill it. Since then, he has been coming back every few weeks and he always complains and leaves if he has to wait more then 10 minutes. One time he came during a huge rush and wanted us to call his doctor for something and every 5 minutes he would be back on the line asking if it was done yet...

I hate customers who just stand there staring at you. First of all, it's creepy as hell. Secondly, staring at us will not make your prescription get filled faster. People need to learn some damn manners.

yea, patients, for some reason, are assholes about 25% of the time. i just hand the script back to them. as a pharmacist, i cover my ass. i am nice in general because you never know who your gonna give the wrong drug to on accident. it sucks to make a mistake with a patient that you are already at odds with. Just don't let these pricks consume too much of your time. Gotta keep truckin' at 210 scripts/day with no help. this job can be frustrating. But satisfaction comes from helping someone.

I totally had someone like this. Their doctor called in a prescription for them and when they found out we needed to make a profile for them they called us stupid and left. I wonder if they ever got their prescription....

I wish we could really use profanity with these assholes. I mean I always call them a cunt under my breath as they walk away but it would make me feel so much better if I could say it out loud while I am slamming their face into the counter.

@GenocideActivist actually, you are able to receive a PharmD in 6 years if you do not pursue an undergraduate degree before enrolling in pharmacy school. The school I go to (University of Pittsburgh) has a 2+4 program. However, there are some students (those who received a BS before applying) who will spend 8+ years in school to receive their PharmD.
