  • where I live, the property taxes are so high that even after years of paying off a home, the elderly and people who cannot work are taxed out of their homes.

  • does anyone know the song playing at around 4:40

  • Just imagine what Cuba would be like if they had the finances!!

  • it is much easier to be a tourist in cuba than to be a cuban!yes life is very tough for ordinary cubans.a tribute to their survival skills!someone once called the cubans the jews of the carribean for their ability to succeed whatever problems they face-even excel.

  • ah...Cubans Do pay taxes. People are paid in chash, noone ever sees a check with itemized deductions. The government pays you a meager salary and keeps as much as 70% of what people should me earning. see, cubans do pay taxes, the highest in the world by any standard.

  • To sumarize: Would you, Art, live in Cuba under the same conditions Cubans live? under the same conditions we have lived there? Would you accept those conditions that the govermnment imposes on them? How long would you really last, I wonder? not paying taxes is reason enough to accept anything?
