he's good in his own right...but way under talented than the rest of the performers there from what i see.

well no... he didnt play it RIGHT at all. It was close, and you can tell it was a semblance of the original. But "right" it was not. It WAS nice, and he played it the way HE wanted to play it which is the essence of the Musicians expo to show that you just come and show what you can do for the level your on. its not a competition. playing without tricks and runs is ONE discipline but another is learning the RIGHT changes FROM the original. When in doubt always play it like the record.

imma have to go along with cmartin...thats not being judgemental..but people should understand when you are ready for such events...there is a such thing as leagues .this guy is way off man...he is not even playing the melody right ...chord structure is wasteless...this was certainly not a good post...i encourage the fellow to go and practice some more..

tricks and fancy chords/runs are the reason why alot cats cant play a song today in church bcuz they dont develop what Mr. Mcniel demonstrated in this clip

I'm not judging his Christian walk. I have an opinion about his playing ability. If he can really play, I don't feel this video did him any justice at all. Sorry if I really offended you. I enjoyed a lot of the videos you posted. Just didn't feel this one was on the same calliber of the other ones. Do you?
