The Malmedy massacre refers to a war crime in which about 90 American prisoners of war were murdered by their German captors. The massacre was committed on December 17, 1944 by Kampfgruppe Peiper (part of the 1st SS Panzer Division), a German combat unit, during the Battle of the Bulge.

This massacre, as well as others committed by the same unit the same day and on the following days, was the subject of a trial during the Dachau Trials of 1946

  • @Anders2185 yes, I have yesterday seen that there are no statements in English or French on that topic of galley. I will send you the translation of the german information about that which is from a research about warcrimes. That guy Galley was later french secretary of state.

Well, there is always a motivaion for warcrimes. When german troops killed ppl at Wormhout for example, they had also suffered losses b4. Doesn't turn crimes into justice.

  • @buehlerama I could not find any war crime pertaining to what you just posted. I assume you meant Chenogne, which occurred AFTER the Malmedy Massacre, which was carried out by inexperienced US troops, probably eager for revenge.

  • @Anders2185 look up the french politician Galley or the massacre of chanogne in belgium if you want to know sth about warcrimes of the western allies

  • @Mycterizian If you wanna count Native Indians into the number of war crimes committed on the American side in WW2, you'd also have to count the number of women killed during witch hunts in Germany. You can't just judge everything a nation has done wrong throughout their history against the terror of just 12 years in another nation.

  • @Mycterizian What does any of that have to do with the subject of WWII war crimes? Nothing as usual.

  • @Anders2185 Say that to millions of native Indian's, Korean's, Vietnamese, Iraqi's, and Afgani's among the other suppressed and starved nations in the world that have fallen to their CIA puppet governments and socio-economic schemes for global authority over resources and power. If you can't see this then get back in line with the rest of the sheep.

  • @Mycterizian Total Rubbish, both sides committed war crimes, but the sheer number and level of brutality of the crimes committed by the Nazis far outweigh anything ever done by the Western Allies.

  • @jagerfaust2009 very well said. Americans are guilty of atrocities that far exceed Nazi Germany.

  • @jagerfaust2009 My point being I know the allies broke it, but never to the extent that the SS did. Tbh i thought you were just being biased but judging by your reply that's not the case. I never said they were all in retaliation but its pretty obvious the events of Chernoge and any subsequent orders from the allied commanders would not have happened had the SS not done what they did at Malmedy. Roger Bushel was the one man told he would be shot if he escaped again, not the whole camp.
