  • We are all from the same planet, the same structures, the same common ground.... how can you honestly think that the universe was made for us alone? That somehow a higher being created us in his image? Are you saying that God looks like a mutated monkey?

  • @emexsystems Uhm, yeah, the planet was not made for us alone, because aliens exist, right?

  • To determine, if the Christian God exists one just have to read the Bible, take it literally (ask oneself why one should take it metaphorically)- and then you will see that such a God can´t exists because many stories in the Bible (the Creation, Noah´s Ark) are impossible and contradictionary.

  • @VitoPossilipo It's interesting that you put the "metaphorical" part in as an aside. How about this, try reading the Bible seriously and fairly. That's not hard now is it?

  • @drcraigvideos I would say, I´ve read the parts I´ve read seriously and fairly.

    How is in your opinion such reading able to show that some parts of the Bible are meant metaphorical? And if they are metaphors- metaphors for what?

    And if the story of Adam and Eve was supposed not to have taken place in reality, then Jesus´death couldn´t be a deliverance for Adam´s sin.

  • @VitoPossilipo I don't believe you when you say that you read the "parts" seriously and fairly. Anybody who reads the Bible in context would know what parts should be taken metaphorically. In the book of Revelation, when Jesus said he's the door to salvation, does that mean he's literally a door? Honestly, just be fair and don't lie.

  • @audischwaaa no it is

    PEOPLE = HATE

    PEOPLE = VULGARITY

    PEOPLE = EVIL

    PEOPLE = CANCER TO SOCIETY

  • @audischwaaa I hope you understand these are not arguments against the existence of God. Religion could cause all those things but God could still exist. Even the philosopher Bertrand Russell said that the effect something has on society does not prove weather or not it is false

  • I like how Dr Craig is taking stock of the situation before he responds, and trys to bring clarity to the argument before responding. Of course Mr. Hitchens is one in the midst of five apologist so he doesn't have much time to take stock but i think thats a good way to examine these statements.

  • heres my reply as a muslim not resresting all muslims .

    at ever age to ever nasion there was a profit warning the people what to follow yet gos dos give them the freedom to what there like .examples boming ect wich is no were to be found in the Quran but the actons of a few just like youll find in the bible et not the actons of the magrty.. if this really was the case from one or both sides surly there would be no humantry left alsong side something called cristhatry or islam living side by side

  • @audischwaaa That's funny, When the Japanese slaughtered thousands of Chinese (which were against religion as you are) As well as Stalin and Saddam, Pol Pot, ect. None of these people were "religious"

  • Yeah I noticed that atheists seem to get really emotional and sarcastic

  • @jacmia how?

  • I would have much more enjoyed this "debate" if it would have actually been that...a debate! The moderator adds nothing to this other than sound preachy. I would have much rather enjoyed this watching craig and strobel contribute much more... i don't know, it just felt like it was alot of blah blah blah.....kinda boring actually.

  • What if morality, meaning---what if they come from us? Not God, not science. Why can't we look to one another and admit that we're just trying to do what's right and we're basing what's right and wrong on what we feel? Society is the mean, or average of everyone's hopes and desires and we need to constantly work towards bettering ourselves. Is that not the point of science and religion, improvement?

  • @jacmia Oh and certainly your comments don't demonstrate an ounce of what you're claiming.... moron...
