This is my Video Production 1 Final for Lane Community College, Fall semester of 2009. This was shot on three separate weekends (apartment sequence, car sequence, the "kill" sequence), and lots of stuff was left on the editing floor, so to speak. (One of the reasons for this is because it had to be under five minutes TRT) For instance, dialog when Tanya is in front of the mirror saying she'll be "down in a minute" didn't fit after fixing a hand continuity problem. Not being able to have Tanya and Megan in the car at the same time may be confusing, I'll admit, but scheduling talent is a major pain in the ass. They were only together in the car for the scene where they get out together, when they drive up and park, before Tanya scarfs her hair. I totally spaced getting footage of them together, i.e., shot from the back seat, but considering Tanya had to be at work in 10 minutes, we were lucky she wasn't late. Spaced off getting the shot and there was no chance to make it up. The car sequences for Tanya and Megan were shot separately, and, I know, it looks kind of... well, it could have been better. Tanya's hair was re-colored (it had to be perfect for her art showing! lol) before shooting the last sequence, and it decided to be difficult. This is why she had to put it up in a scarf. Ain't continuity a bitch?(At least it was shot before she shaved 1/3 of her head!) And everything in that last sequence was done in 25ºF weather, in 45 minutes, so Tanya could get to work. I spent a total 8 hours shooting, 12 hours editing, all for 4:23 of movie. Considering the time restraints, difficulty of getting the talents and my schedules to mesh, four other classes that had no finals, just final projects due the same week as this project, I'd say it turned out freaking awesome. Given time, open schedules and days to edit, I'm sure something better can, and will, be shot. Right now, I have to rest for two more finals tomorrow. Then I'm gonna have a beer. Ninkasi rules!!!

Yes, I agree. But I only had a max of five minutes to tell a story with a beginning, middle, and end. Not easy. When I'm rich I can make a whole movie, with CSI coming in afterwards and bitching about sloppy criminals. Whaddya want, I'm just a poor college student right now, lol.
