@notmyname97 LOL very true. I'm glad I finally found someone describe the contrast so well. CG is more on the emotional side - his motivations are based in his emotions, while Light is all up in his head, making him seem less human and a lot harder for me to relate to personally.

You know if Lelouch got a death note, he'd just kill all his enemies in 5 minutes and if Light got Geass he'd own everyone. These two should go to a swap meet...

death note has better writing because when things happen they happen intellectually (they surprise us by actually following the rules of the anime, in a way they outwit even the audience) rather than code geass's more imaginative writing (anything can happen even if it defies the boundaries set by the anime) so DN it is much tougher to write that has to be taken into account when saying which one is better. Thats the reason DN is the superior writing

Code Geass became slightly better than Death Note because of its ending.........overall i'd say Code Geass and Death Note are on an another level than all the other animes and top the best anime lists everywhere........Naruto,DBZ,Bleach etc are all just overated animes for kids.

To me, Code Geass is better than Death Note because of thw character development...Light besically turns selfish and insane, wheras Lelouch sacrifices everything for other people.
I just think Code Geass did a better job executing the story. Plus, I just like Lelouch better :D
