RE: Brokers: According to the definitions provided by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, we actually are an energy marketer because we provide competitive retail natural gas service to retail customers and take title to the commodity at some point in the process. A broker does not take title to the commodity at any point in the process. Brokers, aggregators and marketers, like Gateway Energy, are all defined as energy suppliers by the PUCO.

No longer are you locked in with a utility, paying whatever the utility charges. You have a choice. RE: Rates: Our 12-month fixed rate for Columbia Gas customers is 80.7 cents/ccf. The Columbia rate of 48 cents/ccf is for a variable rate, which is the cost of energy for use this month. The fixed rate is higher because it includes the cost of energy this month, plus the forecasted cost of energy for the next 11 months. Right now, the forecasted cost of energy for the next 11 months is higher than it is for this month.
