@ICarnag3I Economics jobs go to people with economic grad-school degrees, and you can get into econ grad school with a math degree easier than with an econ degree without advanced math. I'd major in finance and take some advanced math courses; then I'd have the best job options with the B.A., plus options to go into PhDs in finance or economics.

@CannedKoolaid Job fairs look more for finance degrees than economics degrees, and the only actual jobs specifically for economists are for economics Grad-school degrees, not undergrad. FInance undergrad degress have all the knowledge of monetary value in the economics degree plus far more and with none of the useless abstractions. That's my assessment after finishing the B.A. in economics and minoring in finance, so I'm saying I would definitely do finance instead if I could do it over again.

@SuperNerd707 Do it! Im 18, and that what im going to college for. But you have to study alot of math. I read a paper by professional economist and they said if you want to get into a good school or have a successful career, you should focus alot of your time taking math, then go get your economics degree. Because alot of good economic schools will look your math history, and thats how they will decide if your ready to study economics. So, MATH, MATH, MATH!! Study it!
