The Platforma Solar Research Center in Taberna, Spain (near Almeria in Andalusia) has taken all their test results and put them to work in this 100% solar powered office building on site. Best of all, the building is cooled by a solar air conditioning system!
@oomblikkies Wh00ps! Ran out of space on my last comment. I was referring, of course, to the wasteful wind machines the environmental screwballs put on farmland. It robs the farmer of his land and livelihood. Very inefficient way of making power. Solar, UV/solar and energy streaming are better endeavors for alternative energy sources and distribution.

@oomblikkies Interesting points. There is lot more UV ultraviolet energy on cloudy days. All this experimentation on solar power is fascinating. But it's rather hit and miss. What will happen is that some amateur scientist experimenting will come up with a brilliant answer. To things I find hilarious and depressing at the same time about the new energy capturing systems are (1) solar with its huge mass of land. These solar units need to be stacked. And (2) the goofy propellers take up farm land!

And what happens when the sun disappears behind clouds? Yes, the solar heating stops and the solar panels also stops or have a huge reduction in power generation. When the sun sets and it becomes dark, all the processes stops and one has to rely on batteries. All batteries do have a finite life time and must be discarded after a while, thus creating a new pollution hazard. So all in all, this claim that the house is "green" is nonsense.

Wow. Yea. How revolutionary. Shaded windows help keep the place cool? When the sun shines through the windows we have warmth? My cat might be interested in that news! Vents increase airflow? They designed the place on one of those computer devices, you say? Well, that is certainly something. You are clearly excited about all this. Good for you!

Thanks, I was intrigued about how hot water can be turned to cold air. Maybe there's a video on that?
