Up north where Labadee is isnt where most of the tormil lies, its mostly down by the capital. Regardless, Haiti is one of the most beautiful places in the world, beautiful beaches, beautiful mountains, historic sites ALL over the country, the corrupt government of preval has to be put out of office, U.S. and UN has to keep its nose out of our affairs and everything will be great.
L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE!!!

Sweet!! This is one of the places I will go on a Royal Caribbean ship to the Caribbean! Freedom of the Seas I am hopeing to take!

There is a market place there with locals. Haiti has had some termoil within the last 10 years. I think that their taking it slow with allowing too many locals.
Look at domica. The all inclusive resorts need armed guards (haven't gone, have friends who have). I think that untill there are less potentially volitile conditions, the cruise lines will continue along the cautious path.
I would love to spend more time with the locals like I typically do in St. Maarten and elswhere.

It will be finished before you go!
Labadee is a great destination, been there twice and cant wait to go again!!
-
I hope that's what people want for their vacations instead of just sticking to the resorts where there are no locals :/
