wow that sucks wasted a rx8 just cus some guy spun out
-
WHAAAT YOU GOT A CHANCE TO RACE ON TSUKUBA CIRCUIT.
-
@PoserLawl He dosent crash, some other guy does but you only see the car after it crashes its at like 0:22
-
Where's the crash?
-
@ffrgtm 1st off idiot you cite one driver and one race. Got any more? Is there a consensus or one size driver states the Rx8 fits like a glove and it is “gold”? WRONG!
2nd if you looked more at the article you are citing, you would have noticed that a “FWD” Chevy Cobalt posted a quicker time around the track. That right there proves how stupid you are to prop up the handling of a car that was bested by a FWD Chebbie!!! and posted the 2nd slowest lap of all the cars tested.

@Rotaryisgarbage sigh.... since physics are too much for you.. the rx8 r3 won the motortrend best handling car shootout, against an r8, skyline gtr... m3.. the list goes on and on. You can search for the video if you'd like... professional race car driver Randy Pobst (daytona 24 hour 2 time winner.. ect) said "this is the best handling car I have ever driven, it feels like a glove".
....in sum... you are a fucking idiot.
-
@ffrgtm Look, either prove your point or get lost. So far you have proven nothing except that you are an idiot that tries to disprove facts. The Rx8 does not handle very well at all. Get a clue!
-
@Rotaryisgarbage Look I am unsure if you are trolling or are genuinely simple minded. If you are honestly interested in what I am trying to explain to you (It's somewhat difficult with a low character limit on youtube) then simply search google or even wikipedia for moment of inertia or polar moment of yaw inertia. It is a primary factor in determining how well a car handles, though there are many. Throw me a message if you are having trouble understanding and I'll be glad to help out. Good luck
-
@ffrgtm What you did is explain nothing, All you did was say it does what it does because the laws of physics. You are an idiot if you think that explains anything.
-
@Rotaryisgarbage No... I explained why, according to the laws of physics, the rx8 handles well. The laws of physics are a little hard to argue with so (unsurprisingly) your reply was to argue the opposite without giving any supporting evidence. Try using your brain.
On the contrary - it handles great. I just didn't have the skill to get around a stationary object in my path while on the limit of adhesion at 140km/h.

No, insurance doesn't cover it. Track rules are you pay your own damage. But I was avoiding the S2000 that spun in front of me who got off without any damage! Some people said I should have hit him! But I think he would have got hurt. Others say to drop the car off a cliff and claim! In the end I scrapped it and bought another RX8 to get straight back out there.

definitely not best to turn air bags off

Depends on the type of crash. In a big one like mine you probably want them. I was lucky as I impacted backwards so no whiplash etc. For a minor shunt you don't want the airbags as they break the windscreen, wreck the interior and cost you a whole packet to fix up the dash.
