Seeing isn't everything and I truly hope that one day mankind will wake up in the morning, at the sunrise of the two stars of Alpha Centauri :) .. but for that we do not need religion and differences of opinion that it generates.

I don't see why religion and science can't co-exist? I am a Christian and I think in the first bit the way he described the universe is awesome. the way I see it God and the universe are one. Literal religion is insane and laughable but from a metaphoric p.o.v. there is some amazing stuff to it. Lets not throw the baby out with the bath water.
