-------------------- BLUE SMOKE --------------------
I worked on the second part like on the first part. Searching for good clips, cut, edit and adding a soundtrack. Somehow the soundtrack choosing wasn't too hard for me. After watching tons of montages and fragmovies I collected some cool songs. So this was not sucha big problem like it is for others. After some time of working I finished the second part. I was faster then working on part one but there I was still learning how to use Vegas properly.
Continuing with part three. I used the cinematics from "Ghillie In The Mist". But now the cinematics really made sense. The song "Rooftops" by Lostprophets goes like: "Standing on the rooftops, waiting 'til the bombs drop". And it made click in my head! I used the cinematics were an airplane 'dropped bombs' onto that sniper trying to kill him cause he already killed his two enemies. Cinematics for part three were done now!
I worked on part three with the same structure as well: Searching for good clips, cut, edit and adding a soundtrack at which I already got one, like I already told you, "Rooftops" by Lostprophets. I don't have to tell you why I used that and that thing and why I edited like this and that. You're gonna recognize it while watching my movie!
My movie is still not finished: The outro is still missing. After finishing it I watched over it and in my opinion the outro killed it! I used a clip of real military fighting. A clip of a fighting scene from an AC 130, like in Call of Duty 4. There I also explained the meaning of the title. I used a conversation between two soldiers on board. They are talking about the 'Blue Smoke' coming out of a destroyed building, at which the AC 130 caused the destruction. One of them explains for what the color blue stands for and what does it express in this case here. I think that was a pretty good idea for intergrating the title into the movie. I also wanted to tell a story with all the cinematics. After watching the outro, everything started to make sense. I represent the 'Blue Smoke' as a warbringer, like the two soldiers said. So mainly, everywhere, where that smoke comes can be seen, there is war. Like in the scene where the airplane drops the bombs. There's the blue smoke. Like in the outro. There's the blue smoke. The color blue is just an additional extra so don't get confused about that.
So, all in all, this project was a huge experience for me. Now I know how hard it is to make good movies. I also realized how hard it is to tell a story in your movie. But I also had alot of fun! I'm going to make more videos like this. I think, it's not the editing which makes a video good, it's the originality. This is my personal aim for future videos. I spent nearly 30 hours on creating this movie. But I know that I made a good movie, especially the title and its intergration into the movie went out pretty well. All the time, all the passion I put into it made it a good movie. Further I got to cut the whole movie into two parts cause the whole one is 11:14 minutes long and this is a little bit too long for YouTube. So be sure to watch both parts! Probably I'm not going to make future videos in HD cause rendering takes to much time and my computer can't handle it too good. The resolution I chose for this video is still good. Do you agree?
Yeah, guys, this is Nakbom and his first montage ever about zZ Sneaky. Special thanks to Sneaky for sharing his clips! I would never start making movies if you didn't inspire me for it! I wanted to start sometime but your clips were the foundation for my movie. Further I want to greet my clan, the International Counter Strike Force. You guys rock and keep on being the best mates on the wolrd! Best wishes to you!
I hope you guys enjoy watching my movie called 'Blue Smoke'! Please rate and comment as well! Criticism and ideas for future videos are welcome, of course!
Greetings Nakbom
