  • I can't figure out why the track loader market died out on the West Coast. They work so well for spreading and walking in material, digging into a hard bank of material. The CTL/MTLs are popular but not fullsize track loaders.

  • @Graveltrucking Look at it this way part 2 of my long winded answer. MTL's are replacing track loaders like MIni-X's are replacing backhoes. Just because you have more attachments doesn't mean you're going to knock off your bigger older brother.

  • @vantagetes I never really beleived in fullsize track loaders till I started using one but they are limited on the terrian out on the West Coast of BC. Mini excavators have most definatly replaced rubber tired hoes. You have a mini and mtl you have a good combination. Rubber tired hoe operators are a dying breed and say 15 years ago they were common. A good backhoe operator can do some miracles with a rubber tired hoe. I started running backhoe then I had a career change.

  • @Graveltrucking But for everything you can do with a mini-x and an MTL you could still womp the shit out of both with a good backhoe and operator. They are a dying breed but it's a fad like anything else in a few years it will die out again. The tractor backhoe has been around a long time and the designs and technology for them just gets better.

  • @tarheellax92 There are many reasons, I actually have a video of why I am not particularly fond of it. I am working on cutting it down so it's not just 13 minutes of bitching.

  • @vantagetes its ok, alot of us like long videos

  • However I like a lot to work with this kind of loader!

  • Its a nice view to watch.Nice to see that these 755Ks are getting out to market

  • Mtl's are way cheaper also that would help out selling track loaders

But rocky areas you can't compete

  • Nice work it is very quiet

  • What a sweet little tractor! So quiet as well, judged by its larger brother the D11 it looks kinda small but there is obviously a slot it fits into between the 150 tons or so of the D11 and maybe other smaller wheeled 'dozers eh?

Thanks for the upload, and have a wonderful holiday.

    Take care

  • @D12caterpillar Thats what she said.... ahahahahahahahaha

  • @Graveltrucking Thats an easy one to figure out.... the TL is a dying art. The CTL/MTL business is booming because of the attachments and ease of transport. A 953 has a bucket... maybe forks and thats about it. A Cat 297C has dozens of attachments from buckets, to road mills, sweepers to hydraulic concrete pumps. TL's have been around what 50-60yrs? I'd bet that in the 12 or so years MTL's have been popular they've outsold every track loader ever.
