Answering Mahalo Answers question What is Entropia like
I got pretty deep into Entropia universe (planet Calypso) a few years ago.
In my opinion it's like online gambling. There is no monthly fee, but you wont have much fun unless you deposit money to buy virtual currency for goods.

What I didn't mention in the video was that I was actually a pretty high level hairdresser (go figure!) and there is good money to be made if you are willing to spend thousands of dollars skilling up.

I find it intresting that most of the people posting negative comments about the game, calling it a scam and telling others to stay away, have obviously never played it. They never write a real review or give any constructive critisism, just troll about it. "It's a scam, you pay $1000's to play! It's a rich ppls playground!" I've put $160 into the game, it's lasted me 6 years and I now have over $800 worth of stuff. You just need to use your head a little and not blow it all on guns and ammo.

Wow lots of comments. I have heard the Entropia is Gambling argument many times. It is a compelling argument, and it's hard to dispute. People spend thousands, or tens of thousands of dollars on this game. And yes, because the in game currency is redeemable for cash, there are many, many scammers inside of the game. I don't think the game is a scam, or gambling, but I don't play the game any longer, because it's too close to both for my comfort.

This is, in my opinion, the best MMO.. and it's free.

I'd like to add:

World of Warcraft and Everquest are both good games.. but you have to pay for the game, then pay for expansion, then pay for subscription... then what can you draw out when you quit? Nothing.

Consider yourself lucky.. you got half your investment back.. that'd be like getting 100-250 bucks back from playing Wow or EQ..and you had the chance to be smart and make a ton of cash.. many have. no chance in other mmo's.

Entropia is NOT gambling.. you never have to pay anything..

Entropia is just like the real world.. you can start with nothing and be everything... if you decide to spend money that is YOUR DECISION..

I'm sick of people calling it a racket or a scam or online gambling when it's really nothing like that..

I've never played a better game.. it'd be good even without the real feel but real money makes it awesome..

Bro u must say about all BS of this game about Rellers those in this game are compare to scamers..this game has very ugly sides ...false promises...no economy just gambling...auction in this game is no 1 scam too...and many many ugly thing happened in this game. My advice stay away.
