Senator Ted Kennedy addressed a gathering organized by the Alliance for Justice. Kennedy spoke about the Bush administration's lack of respect for the rule of law. Following his remarks, a documentary film titled "Quiet Revolution" was screened. The film chronicles 30 years of Republican efforts to turn back the clock on civil liberties.

  • this is fabulous EXCEPT for the presumption made that 911 just came along when these same culprits were obviously integral in creating their "new Pearl Harbor". The Project for a New American Century clearly outlined their current power grab in their documnet Rebuilding Americas Defenses foir the 21st Century. PNAC

    The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

  • so you see the attorneys must be replaced and must therefore have a replacement before being fired and the replacement must be confirmed by the senate

  • Ok, what about the renewal of the Patriot Act? I think they had plenty of time to get through it before they voted to continue it. Also, each one has a handfull of aids to read it and paraphrase for them in a pinch.

  • the Act was changed at 3 am the day it was introduced to Congress (at 11 am. It was a 250-300 pg act (not sure of exact pages). Nobody could get through it, esp. considering they didn't even know until waking up.
