Plot - After kidnapping and brutally assaulting two young women, a gang led by a prison escapee (Dillahunt) unknowingly finds refuge at a vacation home belonging the parents of one of the victims -- a mother (Potter) and father (Goldwyn) who devise an increasingly gruesome series of revenge tactics.

The Thing 1982 was pretty intense. DOTD was OK-effects wise, but hard to be the original. Haven't seen any of the others you listed except Cat People and I never went one way or another on that one-Natassja Kinski was way hot in it. I am a huge fan of Italian horror and 70's horror-Fulci and Argento.

i thought the remake did justice to the original on par with "Hills have Eyes"-I didn't like the Friday the 13 th remake, Halloween, Bloody Valentine, Nightmare on elm street remakes-they all sucked.

If your not some uptight girl who thinks Jensen Ackles farts rainbows, you will like the LHOTL remake.
