  • Haha, nice. I know whenever dark star orchestra comes here I go to that, and theres always crazy awesome acid there.

  • I also enjoy some lsd. are ya going to the dead concert.

  • Well, unfortunately I am not (as of now). Their not even coming to my state (Ohio). The closest place is about a days drive away. But thankfully they seem to be adding shows, so if I'm lucky they'll add Cincinnati or Columbus.

  • Many thanks lsdcoated brain.

  • one of my favs, thanks. rip jerry and kesey

  • @happypatio Pretty unlikely since Altamont was in Dec '69. This song was on their second album released in '67. I believe I read somewhere that it was about Caryl Chessman who was executed in San Quentin in the early sixties. It was a very big deal at the time. Of course, I could be wrong.

  • he had to die, was that about the altamont guy..

  • i was a student usher at this concert. i really don't remember much of it except it began around 9 P.M. or so on may 1 & ended sometime in the early morning hours of may 2nd. i think everyone was high or on a contact high. years later i've listened to the official bootleg tapes of this concert & memories come back & it was sure a damn fine concert. this concert has become a classic among deadheads with tapes being passed around. i'm glad i was there. i think i actually remember this song:)

  • @ajbellis just as good as peoples' attempt at enjoying the song more by.. DOING DRUGZ OH YEAH

haha I'm glad it was a "dismal" attempt, and was incoherent. I was trying to be as obvious as possible (making it dismal) and I was mocking (making it incoherent). job well done for me. and anesthesiologists can get any drugs they want. if not, they probably are smart enough to know how to produce them anyway, and have access to equipment that would allow them to do so. but props to you for researching

  • @mattattack28 your attempt at sarcasm is dismal at best, in addition to incoherent. Not to mention that an anesthesiologist wouldn't have any psychedelics.

  • thanks so much for uploading this - it's known as one of their best live concert recordings. i was at this concert and will never forget it. Harpur College May 1 (after midnight it was May 2) 1970. Binghamton NY. what a sweet springtime night.
