@griz4020 its a vent, to keep blow by from blowing out seal, and oil from coming out dipstick, also he might have a clogged blow by tube, a lot of cummins owners do this

looks fine dont let these clowns put u down i got a 97 12 valve 5 speed 300,000 miles on it thinking about converting it to a six speed since i have a 4.10 rear did u ever get around to ur transmission? did u keep it a 5 speed or go with a six speed?
