Proboscis Monkey in Bako National Park

A rare up-close look at a male Proboscis monkey feeding in Bako National Park. After standing in the same place for nearly two hours the big fella, (about 50 kilo) came right down next to the path in front of me. So after I shot this, I was about three meteres from him. I guess patience pays off.

He IS a big monkey and he seems really hungry. He's also very calm and just kept getting closer and closer as I hung out in that area for around two hours. He actually came down onto the trail about 3 meters from me a few minutes later.
