Just for clarification. The donor graft strictly consists of conjunctival tissue. The Tenon's is left behind?
Does one have to close the conj at the donor site if no Tiseel glue is available?
Thanks.

how can i find a doctor that perform this procedure in new york.
tomekdtw,
yes, you are entirely correct, a very careful dissection of the graft is undertaken to harvest just conjunctiva and leave tenons behind.
And you do not have to close the conjunctival defect from the harvest site, atleast I haven't, and it appears to heal just fine by secondary intention everytime.
great questions, I hope that helps!

many general ophthalmologists and most cornea and refractive specialists perform this procedure. you could ask around for some with a good reputation of search around on the internet. i am sorry, but i dont know anyone specific in new york.
