Lance Armstrong & Dhani Jones visit Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center

Cancer survivor and cycling champion Lance Armstrong was joined by former Eagles player Dhani Jones as he visited with oncology inpatients at Penn Medicine. The visit took place on August 21, 2010.

After visiting two patients in isolation, Lance Armstrong and Dhani Jones spoke with additional mobile inpatients, their family members, and staff in a conference room on the unit. They wrapped up their visit with a meet-and-greet in the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.

In attendance were a group of over 40 former, and current, cancer patients from Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center.

Armstrong and Jones were in town to take part in the LIVESTRONG™ Challenge, the signature fundraiser that benefits the Lance Armstrong Foundation and Penn Medicine's LIVESTRONG™ Survivorship Center of Excellence Living Well After Cancer Program for adults and childhood cancer survivors.
