@k3v015mk our mission is to instruct young people to be better citizens, and if they want a military carreer, they can go in as an E-3 in the army that is a PFC so far they have a good paygrade! if they go to Senior AJROTC or another program, then they can get an officer rank! so either way they are learning responsibilty for there actions when something is wrong and preparing them for a life of work! god watch our soldiers, future soldiers, JROTC and everyone who gives a damn about what we do!
It's good that you can bring out a big group out for the parade, but it's no difference if you can't put up a good show. No offense, cadets, but I'm sure that if you guys have some more practice time you all can do way better than you think and end up with much more supportive and positive feedback. It takes me weeks to get my cadets to get their drill well done. Just remember your drill and uniforms. That's all I can say.
@1staircavalry thats why they should really stop having these kind of programs in high school. personally, it kind of mocks what the real service members are about.
The ones with rifles were the drill team and the ones in ACUs were the Raider Team.. Raiders practice and work in ACUs, hence the reason, i assume, they are in ACUs. And no, cadets are not aloud to wear ACUs outside of school, only to events that the SAI/AI have instructed them to do so.
The whole point of the JROTC at Xavier is to teach you core values and to help you become a better student, not march like a robot and become the perfect soldier. Out of 50 JROTC cadets, only 10 will go on to enlist in the armed forces, on average.
JROTC is about bettering yourself, not becoming a well-oiled machine.
