Uhhh...not really.

Sergio had SEVERAL hits with his group Brasil 66 - Mas Que Nada, The Look Of Love, Fooi On The Hill were his biggest prior to Never Gonna Let You Go. He also earned six platinum albums. One hit wonder - I think not.

I'm pissed that a real musician like Sergio who is an absolute genius can't get regular airplay on radio. Instead we get unimaginative unoriginal fluff that involves no musicianship just computers. It's a shame. Where is the real music?!

for those one who like this, y all should check out Tim Maia, he also lived in US in 60´s and for that, he was the very first brazilian to bring the Soul Music to Brazil..he made kinda revieww of new brazilian style music for us..the funny thing about him, is that when he arrived in NY, I think he didn t know how to speak English!!...after that, he recorded at least one Album in englis and so on...enjoy him!!

In fact, Sergio Mendes left Brazil in order to reach out the wholeworld for the trademark of Bossa Nova !..I am brazilian, but I dont know why he only mentioned Tom Jobim, instead of the first real performer of that , was Joao Gilberto!!....

Most of the young people in Brazil never heard of this guy, it's a shame.
