true, i shouldn't have phrased it that way, that is more to the modern hardware vendors excluding RISC . at that time there were a lot of boxes like necs and the like that ms could be run on. at that time the idea was to have your hardware and customize the software to it, but MS changed that.

If OSX is licenced to thirdparty Apple they would lose sales. Plain and simple. Apple is a Hardware company. In the early 90's they nearly went bankrupt with clones and now they are the most valuable technology company in the World. I would tend to disagree with your reasoning and business model. Psystar is a leaching company. They add nothing to the apple band.

don't think the hardware runs faster i think its a case that the os drains it less than windows as it is a chuck bit of software to run even idle. may be wrong but thats what i think iv seen the new macs co and the gpu runs amazingly well concidering

A video card with 512mb of VRAM, a core clock of 625mHz and 800 stream processors can have the same power as a GPU with 1GiB of VRAM, a core clock of 850mHz, and 1600 Stream Processors??ROFL! Whose the one blinded by propaganda? No, Apple's magic logo does NOT make hardware twice as powerful.

Even if it does, that give no justification to pay more for less when one buys Apple.
