saw this on xmas day - tricked the whole family into seeing it ( i'd seen it a dozen times before ! )
everyone was entertained.

This was filmed at Royal Windsor Safari Park. The bus was bought from Standerwick by Peter Newman of Ensign Bus Company. It was painted at Canvey Island Depot and used as the first London Double Deck Sightseeing bus. I was the driver of the first tours and I did the stunt driving for Reg Varney. I now live in Laguna Niguel California and drove bus here for 32 years..Retd

@23896703 - Thanks for sharing that very interesting bit of history... So the bus was a real tourist bus, and you stood in for Reg V - fantastic. Is there any chance you remember anything about where the chimps came from. We're guessing they were themselves stunt-chimps, rather than from Windsor SP, and their part may have been filmed in a studio of course. Any ideas? In 1993 the remaining 'real' chimps from Windsor SP moved to Monkey World rescue centre in Dorset, where most live on...Thanks
