I could see Home inventory as the only practical use for this, except you have to manually enter the associated data. After buying their barcode stickers, and downloading the scans to your computer. Seems like a shit load of money for something that fills out one field in a database. Guess it's fine for organizing CDs, if anyone bought them anymore.
