One good tip when you feel so down is to find someone else worse off than yourself (and there are plenty) and help them. Even though your good lady is debilitated at the moment, there are little things she can do to help others. Can she knit squares for blankets for earthquake victims or something productive and creative like that?I am not being condescending. I do things like this. Helps a lot. Best wishes
im 23, and everyday i feel like finishing it, i lost my family, my pet, my income, my health, my mental state, im overwhelmed by it all and everyday it gets worse, all i see is black, and feel terrible dispair.
I am 36, and I have had something like depression most of my life. I haven't experienced the losses you have but I definitely feel alone and often betrayed by people I trusted. Aren't you worth your own life? I mean, there are so many schmucks out there who coudl give a crap about anyone and are having a ball. And there are people like me who wish that I could have a ball but if not then at least be a good person because there are few left, i think.
I hope that you do get the compensation your wife very much deserves. Everyone has a different way of coping with depression. I hope that you find something that works for you to help you rise above it. :)
Thinking logically just does not work, it's not something you can snap out of. For those of you who have never experienced depression and how terrifying and incapacitating it can be, is out of your range of experience and it's unfathomable to you.
Anyway, hang in there man. I hope you feel better soon
I hear ya man, I'm 20 going on 21, and I suffer from severe depression. It's been a part of my life for almost a year and a half now and it's brought my life to a screeching halt for months. It's more under control now that i'm on a decent few medications and i've learned alot about the illness, but it's always there somewhere and it will always be back.

At the end of depression there's always a better time. Life goes up and down, it's never stable.
