and to be honest,i prefer 100000000 times tayuu and oiran then geisha.Geisha seems not to be allowed to create their own style while women who dress like tayuu/oiran to sing or whatever, create their onw ^_^

oiran? i guess if you are in kyoto, that would be tayuu,or no o.o"? oiran has that butterfly-like hair...XD

@MondrosenPrime Thanks for your comment MondrosenPrime. :) Well... I made a reservation to one of the photo studio in Kyoto where you can put on the Oiran dress + make by professionals, and walk around the historical town of Kyoto.

@tumblefan101 So, my answer to you is NO. I'm not actual Oiran. But there still are several places in Japan were you can borrow Oiran dress + make up set and experience it a bit. ;)

@tumblefan101 Thank you tumblefan101! There aren't an official real job as Oiran in japanese society anymore... sad :( though, at the same time, I think it's matter of course.... since Japanese society itself had changed dramatically in the line of history.
I heard there is a museum for Tayuu and Oiran and they re-create the dances and entertainment of that long ago age. You look wonderful! The Kimonos are much more extravagant than a Geisha's and the hairstyles are just amazing. I like Geishas too, but Tayuu and Oiran had such a different look.

@Showgirl7able Hi :) thanks for your comment☆ I tried several researches about the museum of Tayuu and Oiran but couldn't find any :( Maybe you found some temporal exhibition of it? Or maybe you know much more about Japanese culture. The hair style I did this time was the Edo Style. I chose this style because it looked like more gorgeous with lots of flowers and pins to decorate my hair compared to the Kyoto style, which was colorless and simple beauty kind of style.

Thanks for your comment, beigesilkworm! You are right. In the Kyoto area there were different name(status) as Tayuu as you wrote. So maybe I was dressed in Tayuu although I experienced a Kamuro model in Nagoya when I was a kid. (^-^*)
