  • correction on the video - Chekhov did Not loose both of his legs-the explosion tore off part of his left foot. Sorry - my 1st source was slightly wrong

  • Eh, if he Chekov was a celebrated sniper, then what about Zaitsev? Anyway, was Chekov Zaitsev's student?

  • Zaitsev was the most celebrated sniper in Stalingrad, but Chekhov,Medvedev,Abzalov and others were also famous, just not quite as much as Zaitsev ;) Its interesting to note that Vasily Chuikov had a secret competition with Sasha Rodimtsev - Chuikov would try to make Zaitsev the most famous while Rodimtsev would try to get Chekhov more famous, to try and make their divisions better than the other

  • И ,НАДО БУДЕТ ,ЕЩЁ ДАДИМ ПО ЗАСЛУГАМ........

    ЗНАЙТЕ РУССКИХ!!!!!

  • russian has a lot of heroes denmark does have like about 1 from ww2

  • Why does every Russian name has a V on it. Except Dmitri.

  • @1N73RC3P7OR It is not so intense yet. Total losses of the coalition in Afghanistan is lower than the USSR had in 8 years. But on the same idea, what you say can become true with the advances in weapons technology achieved by some states. I cannot think of something worse than a fanatic group with access to NBC weapons. The atomic weapon technology is already 60 years old and can be achieved by a lot of countries. Even worse, the biological weapons are easier to produce, but will kill anyone.

  • @Lightspit It is sayed that the war to end the human race will start somewhere in the Middle East. I am not sure if it is true but we can all see that the casualties of war in there are rising by the day.....

  • @1N73RC3P7OR for sure Chekhov was no coward and for sure he was a great soldier. That war was so intense so you could say that almost all survivors of that war were great soldiers. I hope that we will never experienced again such a war, but it looks like my hopes are in vain because now we have small wars everywhere.

  • @Lightspit Actualy a newspaper from finland stated that Simo killed only 215 soldiers. It was also published in a U.S. newspaper. Besides Fyodor Okhlopkov killed 1200 Nazis so Simo is still far away. :) But dont get me wrong i do not deny that he was a great soldier!

  • Also, he was the most effective during WWII. Because all shots that have been counted in numbers of kills was in head or eye. :-) Happy death.

  • The most great in USSR sniper was Fyodor Okhlopkov.429 kills,he was an ethnic Yakut. I wouldn't believe any russian propaganda in war time. Also, he had double shot as one and number of kills could be wrong. It maybe easy doubled, he also had hand-held machine gun as second. He begin count from 1942, for 2 years of war he had that count 429. He was a sergeant, it is credible information that other snipers have.

  • @JapaneseNevski wrong,chuck norris created the universe
