iRacing Nvidia Cup - How to win a rookie race after big first corner accident

My first iRacing victory in the Mazda MX-5. Some highlights after starting from 11/12 position where I managed to avoid the massive accident in the first corner by using some patience unlike everyone else who thought they were starring in Days of Thunder. I then spent the next 14 laps passing the rest of the field (not sure how damaged everyone was) and reaching 1st place which is where I finished.
Only 2 other cars avoided the accident - one guy who thought it might be worthwhile intentionally jumping the start and serving a stop go (which relegated him back to about 6th anyway), and the other guy was just a bit lucky at the start, but too slow to avoid being passed by me on the track.
The guy in the bright green car who nearly collected me while trying to un-lap himself was the only other car quicker than me but I had already created a huge margin.

lol..iRacing the realistic simulation? 0.14s some jedi force power there....iRacing is more like the Amway thing ..try to educating everybody our product are the best and anything else are carp..overated! rFactor 2 is the amway 13dollar for 1yr online...cheap man..!!!

@PitcockFTW The netcode in any game is going to glitch at some point, especially with all of that going on. I think some people have way too high expectations. I bought rFactor when it had been out for a year or so, but it always felt like I bought someone's school project. iRacing is organised and polished.

@itstricky83 Thanks Samuel it certainly does, BUT when everyone does get a clean start it can be hard work moving to the front of the pack. When I got back on the track, (road was clear of cars) I drove for 3 seconds and BAM! some noob hit me from the back and my race was over. Fuck people who buy iracing and start racing just after they bought the sim. Practice before you even THINK about racing.

Today when i started a race at the mazda cup... well, it was a disaster. First off the driver in front of me blew his engine before even starting, then when i got past him some genius just spun out in the middle of the first turn (lLime Rock) continued by half of the people slamming into him. I tried to get past them without crashing anyone, but i managed to get wheel damage, which made heavy braking a pain in the ass. So I stayed at 4th for 3 laps and spun out again.
