Just installed this home made full size G5RV wire antenna. The feedline is made with perspex spreaders ( 34') The top section is 51 ' per side. Works well through my Diawa A.T.U and has a very low noise floor on receive. I need to get it a bit higher to eliminate the bend in the open wire line . Ive since installed a balun or more precisely a choke coil , between the open wire line and the 50 ohm coax.. (see my other video for construction details etc.) This antenna replaces my Windom.
