To commemorate the 30 year anniversary of the release of Cosmos i've uploaded A 1966 Interview with Walter Cronkite and Carl Sagan about the existence of UFO's and the possibility of contacting alien civilizations.

I thought it was interesting that Carl mentioned people seemed to be switching from believing in gods, to believing in aliens because they still need that religious comfort, but want something that seems more plausible scientifically.
I think however things have regressed from the time of the interview, and the majority of people have gone back to being scientifically ignorant; and when that happens, religion seems more believable.
