  • Thank you so much for dedicating

this special Radio Play to me!

I really appreciate it very much!

"Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year"!!

    Irene.

  • You are most welcome Irene.

My favourite Marlene dialogue from this in in part 2 of 6, when James Stewart advises Marlene to "go to the men's room & sit on the floor..." & her response.

Still haven't found disc with the other MD piece I told you about yet, just my editing & timing notations for it.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you too!

Now I'm going to watch your Marlene Christmas video!

  • Iskarin is absolutely right. For me it's staggering that the movie \ radio show nearly describes the De Havilland Comet desaster years later. In expensive tests the Comet cell was damaged after 3,057 flight cycles (Wikipedia).

  • @wilsondylanmccartney You're entitled to your opinion, but I can assure you, metal fatigue is an important consideration in aircraft. Four years after this film, deHavilland Comets began falling out of the sky because of metal fatigue.

And there are things to learn. Why land in Gander Newfoundland? Back then, passenger aircraft had not to fuel to cross the Atlantic.

I'm a Stewart fan, too -- but my girl is Glynis Johns.

    Cheers.

  • This sounds like a radio dramatization drawn from the film soundtrack. Its an excellent movie by the way.

  • I just watched this movie on hulu. It's so stupid. Just a simple, little idea that went on for over an hour and a half. The plot was dumb. It should've been a 22 minute episode on a t.v. series. But instead, for money, they stretched it out and made it into this overlong, boring film. I love Marlene Dietrich and Jimmy Stewart. They are the only reason I could stand this movie.
