During a hearing today in the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, EPA Administrator Jackson confirmed an EPA analysis showing that unilateral U.S. action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions would have no effect on climate. The climate may have been temperate before but anthropogenic impact has taken GHG concentrations FAR past the concentrations of the last climatic optimum. Even if it's not a large difference that the USA alone makes, we're still making a difference and setting an example.
