I've always loved music and wished that I could create it, but I'm devoid of any musical prowess apart from rhythm games. I found a program called Music Shake that allows you to look at the "big picture" and not worry about the little things like individual notes. I'll be uploading the songs I make that I deem worthy of uploading to youtube.

This song is a song that may or may not be used in the series J and I are making, Balance. It seems like a nice fit for a fight scene, but we aren't sure yet. My idea for this song was to have an electric guitar fighting it out with an acoustic guitar with a nice techno-esque backing. I accomplished it fairly well.

If you'd like a song made for a particular video or just to listen to, post a comment describing the music. I can't put certain notes or remix a certain song, but if you let me know what style of music, speed of music, what instruments, the tone of the music (sad, happy, intense), if you'd like it repetetive or varied, etc. It takes me around 30 minutes to make a good song, so ask away!

  • Very nice work.

Is it possible to do a piece that is more "fight themed"?

  • @krysala See, that's the problem with MusicShake. You can't set the bpm to be any higher than I believe 140. This means that faster paced songs are impossible to do. It's a pretty limited program.

  • Dude this is awesome, i am definitely going to check out more of your work. Cool stuff.

  • Thanks. I need to get around to making some more. I might do one this week, actually.

  • This is awesome!

  • Reminds me of the Airy Soft Lead in Pro Tools... how I don't know xD Quite catchy, I like the hi pitched medley going on the background, that way preventing the song from sounding empty.

  • Why thanks. =P

  • It's still awesome either way.

  • I couldn't quite get a bassline that fit perfectly, so this was the best bet. All of the slower basslines just didn't keep up the pace of the song and clashed with the drums and tambourine. Thanks for tip though.

  • It's good, but it could do with a less "clogged" bassline, it usually helps to have one main heavy beat and then build higher pitched layers on that.
